Goodnight, Unicorn: time to sleep in the clouds

Goodnight, Unicorn

Goodnight, Unicorn

This cute baby unicorn is chilling on a cloud amongst the stars. And, like most babies, this unicorn isn’t sleepy tonight.

Interlocking & Mosaic

Goodnight, Unicorn comes with the fully written pattern and charts for both of my preferred colorwork techniques: interlocking crochet and overlay mosaic crochet.

The mosaic version is the original dotted option because it uses the same chart as the interlocking crochet version. An adjusted, solid overlay mosaic crochet version is in the works! Learn more about these techniques at https://ashleeslint.com/tutorials/interlocking-and-mosaic-crochet/.

Can this Unicorn Help You Sleep?

Please, little unicorn, just lay down and close your eyes. I will sing you a song. I will rub your back. Just try to rest.

Blanket Size

This full-sized throw blanket will be 60″ square (when gauge is met). The chart is 241 x 241.

It is written up for the interlocking crochet technique and for the overlay mosaic crochet technique.

    Namaste Mandala

This design began as a custom pattern for a yoga instructor. The meditative pose shown on this blanket is what I think of as a basic yoga pose but I have learned that there are a lot of nuances in yoga. I read a bit about chakras and mudras and although I find it slightly interesting I don’t think I’ll become a yoga master anytime soon. This blanket is one of my larger patterns. If you feel the size is too large you can always use a smaller hook and thinner yarn but this won’t change how many stitches you make. A personal gauge swatch is the most accurate way to know how large your blanket will be.
