Summer Direction Crochet-A-Long

Chevron B, Wrong Side

If this isn’t the section you’re working on, return to the list of sections for interlocking crochet or overlay mosaic crochet.

Interlocking & Mosaic

This free crochet-a-long (CAL) is written for both interlocking crochet and overlay mosaic crochet.

This page has the written pattern for CHEVRON B, WRONG SIDE of the Summer Direction blanket for interlocking crochet only.

Visit https://ashleeslint.com/2021/09/03/summer-direction-cal-chevron-b/ for the mosaic crochet version and the ‘right side’ of the interlocking crochet version.

Free or Paid

Each section of the Summer Direction CAL was published separately on my website for free. A new YouTube walk-thru for that section of the pattern was published at the same time.

If you’re looking for the full written pattern or the x-marked charts, they’re included in the paid PDF version of Summer Direction. I appreciate all the support!

You’ll also have access to my Doctor Who blanket pattern!

Original Blog Entry

It’s definitely starting to feel like Autumn here. I’m trying to hold onto the last bits of summer – are you doing this Summer Direction CAL (Crochet-A-Long) in summer colors? This pattern will be FREE forever here on the blog and each section has a FREE YouTube walk-thru as well! You can see a list of all my CALs here: www.AshleesLint.com/CALs

Crochet-A-Long Journey

Section 9 is another chevron. The Summer Direction CAL points in all sorts of ways! 😉

For the mosaic crochet technique we will simply repeat last week’s Chevron B section.

But, because you have to turn your work when you do Locked Filet Mesh (another term for interlocking crochet) – just like with Chevron A – we need a Chevron B from the right side and from the wrong side.

Last week’s section began with the Right Side and this time we’ll start with the Wrong Side.

If you need a reminder of the key and other important information please see the landing page for the technique you’re using!

Chevron B: Overlay Mosaic Technique

There’s no mosaic crochet pattern shown here because we are just repeating the pattern found at https://ashleeslint.com/2021/09/03/summer-direction-cal-chevron-b/

Numbered Sections

I realize this CAL got a bit confusing with all the jumping between sections.

The Chevron B section is used for sections 6, 9, 11, and 12.

That’s it for now!

For section 10, head to the Dark Arrows Reversed section or return to the list of available sections.

Interlocking Crochet: Chevron B (WS)

This section creates the same chevron as the previous section but we start working with the Wrong Side (WS) facing us this time. This switch has made the instructions opposite and reversed.

Here’s the video for Chevron B (WS), or keep scrolling down for the written portion.

Numbered Sections

I realize this CAL got a bit confusing with all the jumping between sections AND the right side/wrong side business.

The Chevron B, WS section is only used for sections 9 and 11.

Chevron B, RS is used for sections 6 and 12.
