Cupcake 20
This cupcake design can be made four ways! You can use the interlocking crochet technique to make a square or to repeat the design any size you want OR you can use the overlay mosaic crochet technique to make a square or repeat it as many times as you want!
You’ll receive three files: an interlocking crochet pattern with asterisks (*) pointing out when to repeat the cupcake (ignore the repeats if you want a square), the original mosaic crochet square using the same chart as the interlocking crochet technique, and the adjusted (solid) mosaic crochet pattern written up for repeats.
Interlocking crochet compared to original overlay mosaic crochet version. Optional envelope border is in progress (in an attempt to show the two layers that create an envelope border).
These two squares are both made from the same chart even though they are crocheted using different techniques. The pink is the main color in the interlocking sample, and the grey is the main color in the mosaic sample.
The adjusted (solid) mosaic crochet option has a solid background instead of the dotted table where the cupcake is sitting.
