Harmony Mandala
A stunningly beautiful floral blanket that can be crocheted in one of four ways: from the bottom-up or center-out, using the interlocking crochet or overlay mosaic crochet technique.
Interlocking & Mosaic
Like all of my patterns, Harmony Mandala can be made using either interlocking crochet or overlay mosaic crochet. Both colorwork techniques use one color per row, neither carry bobbins, and both use simple stitches.
Bottom-Up or Center-Out
Most of my designs are worked by started at the bottom and moving up each row.
Harmony Mandala has the option to be worked from the bottom-up or center-out.
Working from the center-out is especially useful with the overlay mosaic crochet technique because no envelope border is needed at the end.
Mosaic crochet sample in background image was crocheted by Linda Bakker from the bottom-up using peach as the main color (MC).

Original Blog Entry for Harmony Mandala
I am extremely pleased to present my newest blanket pattern: Harmony Mandala.
This beautiful piece is so balanced. I think the line weights and patterns and solid areas all work together in harmony! And, simply-put, it is pleasing to look at!
It is one of my favorites and I am hopeful you will agree!
My husband gave me big, googly eyes with a jaw drop when I showed him my draft a few months ago. “You drew that!?” was almost the wrong thing to say, but he made up for it by quickly following with, “I REALLY like this one!”
Good save, Mitch!

Ashlee, was there supposed to be a code for email subscribers for a discount on Harmony? I did not see one even after reading about the pattern on your website. I may have missed it though.
The code is not shown on my public website. If you are a new subscriber to my newsletter you’ll need to hit reply to the automatic “thanks for subscribing” email and ask me for the code. This tells the algorithms I am not spam. I will be sending another newsletter tonight with an updated link (I accidentally linked to Garden Mandala).
I signed up for the newsletter above on this page and it says Success you are on the list but I have not received any email thanking me for subscribing to get the code.
Hmmm, have you checked your spam folder? It might need a minute to get the automation to go through. My email address is [email protected] if that helps.
i have been getting your emails before today so I thought maybe it was due to me already being on the list. No emails in my junk mail. I received email on Monday about the Gnomesflake Update, got email on 09/16/2022 about the bonus scratch cat and many others before that. Are these the newsletter? Thanks
I sent you 2 emails just now, did you get those?
yes I did. Thank you!!
hi good morning from Holland ,i am eager to get more newesletters, how about a welcome code to start ??
Good morning! The codes get sent through my email newsletter. Replying to my email tells the algorithms I’m not junkmail. Have you signed up through the mailchimp widget above?
Hi Ashlee Brotzell I signed up for the newsletter but haven’t received the 50% off code. Did I do something wrong?
If you are a new subscriber you’ll need to reply to the automated “welcome” email. If you subscribed awhile ago it is possible the emails have gone to your junkmail (which is what I am trying to avoid by asking people to respond to my emails).
According to my records you have opened the newsletter and clicked a link. The code is typed in BOLD in the middle.
