The biggest problem with being a smart, clever, DIY person: I do it all myself.
I had a newsletter subscription with MailChimp and it seemed to be working fine, but then I had to change providers because they changed their subscription plan. And it’s been a month of problems now.
I am so sorry!
Thank you for sticking with me!

I wish this hadn’t occurred during my 3rd Designaversary, but here we are.
If you’re wondering (or maybe you have advice for me!), I now have a new website host (migrated from wordpress.com to dreamhost.com – my website still uses the wordpress.org language and looks the same, so that shouldn’t affect anyone but me) and I now have a professional email address!
I connected my professional email to the wordpress smtp and supposedly that will allow me to send newsletters from the free “newsletter” plug in on my website. I tried a few things these last few weeks and I’m not 100% confident about this setup but it seems to be working for now.
Spoke too soon
And I have learned SO MUCH! I really didn’t want to learn all of this lol but if I do decide to switch newsletter platforms again I think it will be much smoother because we won’t also be dealing with new email hosts and new website hosts all at the same time.
Oh, and I moved my domain name host in there. Yup, just did everything all at once – thus, the chaos!

If you have attempted to sign up and have not received your welcome email here are the steps you can take:
- Try signing up again. It will either work this time or it will tell you you’re already subscribed!
- If it says you’re already subscribed, and you didn’t get the welcome email (with a 20% off coupon and the password to the Doctor Who blankets) then you can send me a message on any platform (pick on, any one – I respond everywhere lol) and tell me this is the problem and I will manually resend that email. I will need to know which email you subscribed with, but please don’t post your email publicly!
Thanks for all your patience!
