New Pattern Option

Both the Ravelry listing and Etsy listing have been updated to include a “children’s” option along with the original “daughter’s” and “son’s” options.

All three options include right- and left-handed options for both interlocking crochet and overlay mosaic crochet.

Those who previously purchased on Ravelry will have their updated files available now.

Those who previously purchased on Etsy will need to contact me with their transaction number to receive the update.

Wait, how many patterns do I get?

On Ravelry you’ll have access to 6 pattern files: interlocking crochet method for the “children’s”, “daughter’s” and “son’s” options, and overlay mosaic crochet for the “children’s”, “daughter’s” and “son’s” options.

On Etsy you’ll receive 2 files, one for interlocking crochet and one for mosaic crochet. Each file has all three options. Etsy doesn’t allow more than 5 files in a single listing, so I had to combine them.

Essentially, you’ll get all the options no matter where you purchase it.

Each option contains the full written pattern for right-handers, then left-handers, and then a single-page chart (good for viewing on a screen), and a multi-page chart (for printing).

The mosaic charts have x’s showing where the dropped double crochets go. I also include a chart-reading instruction sheet and a photo tutorial for the optional double envelope border with every pattern.

The interlocking crochet option includes a chart-reading instruction sheet as well.

  • Chart: 201 x 201
  • Finished measurements approximately 50” x 50” / 128cm x 128cm
  • Gauge: 8 (dc, ch) x 8 rows = 4”
  • 4.5 mm hook (US7)
  • Worsted weight yarn (2950 – 3250 yards total)
    • Main color (MC) (the words) – 1500 yards plus 300 for
      optional border
    • Accent color (AC) (background) – 1450 yards

Overlay Mosaic Crochet Details

  • Chart: 197 x 197
  • Finished measurements approximately 53” x 57” / 133cm x 143cm
  • Gauge: 14 SC in BLO x 15 rows = 4”
  • 5 mm hook (H-8)
  • Worsted weight yarn (3630 – 4330 yards) -Main color (words) – 1400 yards
    • Contrasting color (background) – 2230 yards
    • Optional envelope border – 700 yards
