Month: August 2020

August Summary

I like the monthly summary because it is hard for me to remember what happened 30 days ago. Lol Besides being very busy in the household (3 birthdays, our anniversary, listed our house for sale, conditonally sold it and bought another in 5 days) I have also been quite busy with my computer work for

Abstract Queen CAL: Interlocking Part 1

Want to change your Preemie Love Blanket into a lapghan? Here’s how!

Brackets in Crochet Patterns

There are so many skills to learn when attempting to crochet something! First we have to learn how to do the stitches, we also have to learn how to choose a hook size and what yarn to use or substitute, some are just learning how to read patterns or how to read those fancy pictures

Abstract Princess

I know there’s a lot going on right now (the Abstract Queen CAL will start soon and my Preemie Love Blanket is free for 3 days) so perhaps from a marketing view I should have timed the release on this one better. I will work on learning marketing too someday. I was at my computer

Doctor Who: Are You My Mummy?

I thought I was done with this series, but I think I won’t ever truly be done lol There’s always more I could add! You will have to pick and choose your favorites. The chart can be used for both interlocking and mosaic crochet (and probably other crafts too). The written instructions for both are

Doctor Who: Tardis Banner

This is called “Tardis Banner” to differentiate between the small square called “Tardis 20”. The first and last squares I’m making in my Doctor Who series both show the Tardis: the iconic image that makes us feel geeky and excited! The chart can be used for both interlocking and mosaic crochet (and probably other crafts

Doctor Who: Sonic Screwdriver

I’m not enough of a fan to know which doctor this screwdriver belongs to. It might not belong to any, I suppose. It is my version of something that looks high tech and gadgety. It probably still won’t work on wood, though. It is a very narrow and tall addition to the Doctor Who series.

Buzz Lightyear Sweater, part 2

I managed to find some time for this project today. I have the body done. I pinned the shoulders together and tried it on my wiggly toddler. It seems to fit! I thought 7 stitches from shoulder towards the neck would be enough but after trying it on him I think 9 will be better.
