Written Pattern & Charts

All of my designs come with the fully written pattern and charts.

These yearly block squares come with the right- and left-handed patterns.

The mosaic crochet charts DO have X’s marking the dropped double crochets.

This square will be about 20″ if you use worsted weight yarn and belongs in my large squares category.

See more details below.

I put all my designs on both Ravelry and Etsy so that you can choose the platform you prefer. However, sometimes people ask, and, FYI, Ravelry is my preferred platform.

Interlocking Crochet

The interlocking crochet version has a chart size of 81 x 81. This means they begin with 40 windows in the foundation row and will finish to about 20″ square.

You will sometimes also see my interlocking crochet patterns referred to as “Locked Filet Mesh” or “LFM”. Other designers use various other titles for this technique but it all boils down to the same method of doing colorwork.

Interlocking crochet / LFM crochet file includes:

  • line-by-line written pattern for right- and left-handed crocheters
  • instructions on reading a chart
  • a one-page chart

Interlocking Crochet Details

Overlay Mosaic Crochet

The overlay mosaic crochet chart for this pattern has been slightly adjusted from the interlocking version: the unnecessary locking border lines are gone and the interlocking mesh dots have been removed.

It is worked from the bottom-up and you’ll cut your yarn at the end of each row.

You’ll receive both a single-page chart and a multi-page chart. Both charts have x’s marked on them for the dropped double crochets.

Overlay Mosaic Crochet file includes:

  • line-by-line instructions
  • instructions on reading a chart
  • a one-page chart marked with X’s (good for viewing on a screen)
  • a four-page chart marked with X’s (better for printing)
